2012

 2012 the movie

“No more pull-ups.”

2012 had that perfect convergence of big special effects, non-stop action, corny dialogue, and big-ish name actors that resulted in what I can only describe as a f#&king disaster. See what I did there?

2012 is Armageddon  plus Knowing  and a sprinkle of Noah’s Ark. The action and effects are great, but the movie has little else to offer except for a great way to waste 2 hours and 38 minutes. I don’t not recommend seeing this movie, but I also don’t not not recommend seeing this movie. What I do not recommend is double negatives. Very not unconfusing.

By the way, that quote at the beginning of my review was the last line of the movie. It came from the mouth of the young daughter of our hero Jackson Curtis (John Cusack). It summed up what we can all really learn from this movie: If you can face the end of the world and survive, you can rid yourself of that nasty little bed-wetting problem. Because really, the former is really a lot more of a challenge. Especially from across the room.

Just my opinion.
